Beskrivning
CNR: The National Research Council of Italy. Den största institutionen kring offentlig forskning i Italien, ev. motsvarande Vetenskapsrådet
ISTI: Institute of Information Science and Technologies "Alessandro Faedo". ISTI är affilierad med CNR:s genom “the Department of Engineering, Information, Communication, Energy and Transportation Technologies (DIITET)”
Kallas både CNR-ISTI och ISTI-CNR. Främjar forskning inom sitt område (Computer Science) genom samarbeten inom projekt och konsortier, samt via didaktik/undervisning från grundutbildning till doktorandutbildningsnivå. Oklart hur relationen mellan CNR-ISTI och ämnesområdet Library and information science (LIS) ser ut, men det skulle kunna vara ett subfält. CRN-ISTI:s bibliotek verkar ha några likheter med KB, till exempel utveckling av tjänster och prenumerationer på tidskrifter.
